Kathy lost 16kgs on The Lady Shake!

Hello, Iā€™m Kathy, and Iā€™ve lost 16.4kgs on The Lady Shake!  

I started The Lady Shake when I was 80kgs and feeling sluggish, unmotivated and unhealthy. I knew I needed to do something, but I didnā€™t know where to start.   

My journey from gaining weight to losing weight started about 10 years ago, when I was diagnosed with breast cancer at 32. It was really scary and the treatments I did to treat the cancer caused me to put weight on. Over the past 10 years Iā€™ve been on preventative medication so that the cancer wouldnā€™t return, and that also caused me to gain weight.  

After tossing and turning with the idea of weight loss for years, I finally decided to do a blood test about 12 months ago, which told me that I was heading towards diabetes (both of my sisters have type 1). My cholesterol was also high, I had a fatty liver, and my iron levels were low. This was a huge wake up call for me, and I knew I needed to do something!  

I actually stumbled across The Lady Shake after watching an ad on TV and decided to give it a go. I bought my first bag in October 2022 and havenā€™t looked back since!   

My go-to bundle is definitely the Buy 3 Get 1 Free, and my absolute favourites are Choc Mint, Chocolate and Honeycomb Choc Crunch. I also love getting the Choc Berry Bars and Chocolate Super Greens. Iā€™ve always been a bit of a chocoholic and theyā€™ve really helped curb that chocolate craving. I now rarely have any other type of chocolate anymore. I recently tried Vanilla and Banana for the first time, and am going to start adding those to my rotation too.  

When I first started The Lady Shake I made myself the big goal of losing 20kgs, but knew I needed to make small goals of 5kgs increments to achieve this. Iā€™m so close to 60kgs now, and finding the last 5kgs the hardest to lose! I think Iā€™m getting close to the weight my body wants me to be, so naturally is just slowing down.  

The majority of my weight loss has been without any regular exercise because I have osteoarthritis in my lower back which causes a lot of pain in my feet. In the last three months however Iā€™ve felt really motivated to exercise, and so I bought an exercise bike! Iā€™ve been really enjoying getting on the bike every day.   

I recently got a blood test again to track my progress and found that my fatty liver has totally reversed, my cholesterol has dropped and basically everything has gone back in to the ā€˜normalā€™ range. Which has been the best news of all!  

With my newfound love for the exercise bike, Iā€™ve been pairing it with this daily routine,  

Breakfast: whichever flavour I feel like, with a handful of strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and frozen mango  

  • Morning snack: an apple  
  • Lunch: any shake Iā€™m in the mood for!  
  • Afternoon snack: a Lady Bar ā€“ I love the Choc Berry!  
  • Dinner: basically anything incorporating meat and veggies  
  • Supper/dessert: A hot chocolate made with skim milk from the Chocolate Super Greens

Since starting The Lady Shakes Iā€™ve seen an enormous health benefit, and now I have the energy to run around with my grandkids and the children I work with. Itā€™s so great. I feel so much healthier and overall better in myself ā€“ I'm starting to love the way I look and have had so many people comment on my appearance, which has been a major confidence booster!  

My advice to others thinking of starting The Lady Shake is to just take the first step. You wonā€™t be disappointed, and youā€™ll feel so much healthier and happier within yourself.
